This week has been very unstable in ways of weather. The barometer has gone up to 1026.5 hPa and down to 1008.3 hPa. Winds of up to 11 kilometers have brought in clouds filled with water vapor that was raining down on us. The winds then blew the clouds away and we had nice sunny weather, then the clouds came back. That is how it stayed for most of the week. Well until next week, I'm freddy Fungus.
|
| 2001-03-05 |
Well, the weather has gone from extremely hot and sunny, to very rainy and cold. This was a result of the barometer going from up to 1026.3 (making it sunny) and down to a 1013.5 hPa (making it cold and wet). We could see evidence of a low barometer on Thursday, when it was very, rainy. Well until next week, I have some barometric pressures to examine, see ya.

The barometer is wildly moving around, moving from 1002.4, to a high of 1027.6 hPa. It has been very cold this week, only getting up to seven degrees and down to minus 1.5. Woah! If I stood out in the winds on a rock, I would probably not move at all. THe highest the winds even went up to was 8 kilometres per hour - pretty slow. Well until next time I'm freddy the weather guy fungus.
|
| 2001-01-29 |
I have been informed that my reports are too long, so I'll keep it short so you humans can understand. Well that's it for my report... bye for now... until my next short report.

Now the barometric preasure is low at 1009.1hPa, which means unstable weather. Dear Humans,
Well, well... It seems you humans have had a pretty wet week... Almost every day has been a wet one. This week there has been 41 centimetres, that is quite a bit of H2O. The barometer has been wavey this week, going from 1016.3 hPa, to a high of 1034.8 hPa. Beside the barometer and rain there has been lots of wind, which was moving the clouds in. With my conniving ways, I talked to the Fungi Wind Gods to get those winds blowing at speeds up to 11.3 km/h! WOOSH. But then they were stopped by the fungus police. Well at least the temperature will stop them with a high of 7.6 degrees celcius.
Until next week, this has been Freddy Fungus's weekly weather report.

Well, well, did you all have a good Christmas? I know all us fungus' did not! Unlike you HUMANS, we are peices of fungus! We do not get vistited by some joly fella with a beard we get nothing, but that is beside the point, onto the weather. We didn't have any snow on you so-called Christmas day... it was cloudy and wet with a temperature of 8 degress celcius. In fact we didn't even get close to having snow... the lowest temperature was 1.2 degrees! those winds were gettin up there as well, with a windspeed of 9.6 kph, you could blow one of us fungus's off this here computer! Looks like that sun has been gettin a little bit angry, he's just been informed that he will not even have enough energy to create a black hole when he dies. He's hs been giving off flares this holiday as we've seen a lot of solar radiation, the highest point was 236. Well that is all for this holiday's weather report, I hope your little jolly elf comes back next year to give you all those toys! While us species of Fungi shrivel and die in are damp cold rooms, not getting a thing from a jolly elf! OK, I'm calm, see you next weather report...

Hi,
I'm Mr Hardings newest peice of fungus, Billy-Joe. Well, I hear that Freddy was wanting it to snow and his wish came true! We had some snow on Thursday and Friday, But then it rained, it rained and rained (4 cm over the weekend). the temperature changed from a low of about -2 to +4 overnight! Talking about change... Hey, yo! Mr Harding!, get away from that David Bowie CD!... The temperature has changed from minus 4.5 to a high of 10.2 degrees celcius (ch-ch-ch-changes. Turn and) WOULD YOU TURN THAT OFF NOW! The barometer has differed in it's numbers this week, going from a low of 996.2 and going to a huge 1039.5 hPa! The winds were picking up this weekend and were often 19 kilometres per hour. Well, thats all the weather for this week. Bye!

| 2000-12-04 |
Hello Everyone!
It's Freddy Fungus here, still sitting on Mr. Harding's computer (he still has Windows 95, he's never heard of change, except for the David Bowie Song "Changes", man, have I heard that a few too many times!). WOW! Was it ever windy on Friday, winds up to 20.9 kilometres per hour! Mr. harding left the window open and the wind came in and blew me off the computer. I was found in the recycle bin on Monday. Also it's been pretty cold for the last week, never geting over 15 degrees celcius. My friend Billy-Bob has been shrinking, and cracking all weekend, he doesn't look too healthy. The rain has been on and off for the last week. The total added up to be 15.8 cm. It has been soooo, wet and damp this week, the humidity has been up to 100%, holy cow!, I could barley even see ahead of me! I got run over by some kid with a scooter when me and MR. Harding were on our daily walk (he looked like one of the Beatles with his unusually long hair). We caught him and taught him a lesson with Mr. Hradings meter stick.
Bye for now,
Fredy Fungus

Dear Weather People,
It's Grant Granite, here for another weather report. The temperature stayed around five or six degrees Celsius. The wind was anywhere between 0-47 km/h. The sometime high winds caused a wind chill that on occasion put us below zero degrees Celsius. Rain was on and off this week, totalling 103.2 mm. Humidity was between 49-100 per cent. The barometer had a low of 1004 hPa on the 29th, and a high of 1029.6 on the 3rd. The barometer is now dropping steadily, and worse weather is expected ahead. Bye for this week, you fellow weather watching geophiles!
Yours Truly,
Grant Granite

Dear weather-watchers,
It's me, Grant Granite, back for another weekly weather report. This week, the temperatures ranged from 5-9 degrees Celsius. However, the wind chill sometimes put us below zero. The winds varied between 0-17 km/hr. We had six centimetres of rain overnight, totalling about 20 centimetres this week. Rain has been coming on and off since the 23rd of November. The barometer rose to a high of 1030.2 hPa on the 24th, and quickly fell to a low of 1012.9 on the 26th. It has been steadily rising since then. Better weather is expected for the coming week.
Yours Truly,
Grant Granite

We have been having the driest November on record in West Vancouver. It hasn't rained a single millimetre for the past week! Unfortunately we have also been having cold mornings with the temperature resting around three degrees celsius. Around midday, the temperature only rises to about seven degrees. The humidity in the morning has been around the low seventies with a hi of 76. This humidity in the morning is creating white frost on the ground in the cold air. That's all for this week, fellow rockers!
Your Friend,

Hi everyone:
A summary of last week's weather goes something like this . . . Our winds reached a high of 21 km/h, and averaged at about 2.5 km/h. We had a very low amount of rainfall, and the humidity was a constant 65-75%. The temperatures had a low of 4 degrees celcius, and the highs were in the mid teens. Frost occurred one morning last week, and boy it's certainly getting colder.
Sincerely,
Richard (Grant Granite and Freddy Fungus are on holidays!)

Hello Everyone!
Here at the Rockridge Weather Station we've been having mostly overcast days with a wind chill that keeps us wearing our sweaters. Even though there are chilly mornings we have been having lots of sun around midday which we can tell by looking at the barometric chart which is currently at 127hPa. There has been little wind with a range of about 1.6 to 4.8 km/hr. There has been little rain but lots of humidity which keeps the ground wet and the air cold. The temperature high was 13.5 with a low of 4 degrees celcius.
From your Friend,
Grant Granite

Hey fellow pieces of stone,
It's me, Grant Granite again, to tell you the weather for Rockridge Middle School over the past week. We had mild temperatures, ranging from about 5 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius. We had fairly constant winds, ranging between 3 km/h and 15 km/h for the most part. On the seventeenth we had high humidity, at 100%. We had plenty of rain, totaling 15 cm in the week. Recently, the barometer has risen from 999 hPa on the 20th to 1031 hPa on the 22nd. That's all I have to say. Right now it's back to lying around on the ground like the piece of Granite I am.
Yours truly,
Grant Granite

emp-h-16.2 l- 6.7 wind high- 8.2 low- 0.0
Okay since Freddy the fungus is with Mr. Harding on a Trip to the forest I, Grant Granite will be filling in for him. Well since I'm a piece of rock I don't get affected by very many weather contitions, and I'm glad! Its good being a piecec of granite when the wind has gotten up to 8.2 kilometers per hour. At those winds I would have been blown off the ground and into someone. Since I have no senses I have not felt the chill that has been in the air. It has only gone up to 16.2 degrees celcius! If I had to braethe I wouldn't be alive! seeing as though I can't move or nonetheless swim, the water would have been a good 2 centimetres over my head seeing as how we've had 77mm of rain.
Well I hope none of you become a piece of rock in your next life because sitting on the ground ( or someones' computer ) for 45 million years aint the kind of thing that you really want to be doing. see ya in a few mellenium ( if your still around).

Hi, I'm freddy the fungus's brother, Tim, the oversized piece of fungus. This week has been wet, I glad that I'm not outside like I used to be. The most rain we had was 20.2 mm, and the lowest ammount of rain we had was still 8.8 mm! If I was out there I'd probably be washed off the tree from where I was stuck for so many years. In other weather news, the UV radiation is at a low. Freddy tells me that the barometer is low, but we have been having good weather...Doesn't look good to me last time this happened it was in 980 hPa when we had lots of storms and I got waterlogged. The average temparature has been areound 13 degrees celcius and thats way too cold for my liking. I asked Mr. Harding to knit me a sweater but he was too buisy eating his pickled bull kelp!! Goodbye until next week from Mr. Harding's room for fungi's . . .

| 2000-09-25 |
Hi, I'm Freddy the Fungus. I've been soaked from all the rain in the last week, 42.8 mm. I've seen from the weather station that humidity stayed between 80 to 100% and on rare occasions has dropped below 40%. Holy day man! I mean where the heck have you seen that - is this Vancouver!?!?! My gosh WOW! The wind is a lot lower than last week as you've heard from Grant Granite, the highest it's got is 12 km/h, but the average has been 1-5 km/h. But nothing compared to the 70-80 km/h winds that blew me off the tree and into Mr. Hardings head while he was biking to school one day. Till next week, I'm Freddy the fungus telling you, the weather.
|
| 2000-09-18 |
The temperature averaged a mild 15 degrees Celsius for about the whole week. We had relatively little rain, with only 1.8 cm for the whole week. The pressure held pretty steady at about 1020 hPa, but boy did the wind blow! It almost knocked ME over, and I'm a granitic rock!!. It had a high speed on Thursday of 45 Km/h, and for the most part stayed at 20 km/h.
