GRUESOME!!
The hairs on a tarantula's body sense vibrations in the air. This helps the spider find its way around and hunt in the dark. The hairs on its body break off easily and irritate the skin of many animals. Tarantulas use their back legs to flick these hairs at enemies.

Spore Prints

Mushrooms do not have seeds like other plants.

Instead they have spores, contained beneath the cap.

Take a mushroom and cut off its stalk.

Place the cap on a piece of white paper open side down.

Leave overnight, then carefully lift the mushroom off the paper.

The spores will have fallen out of the cap and formed a print.

Take a picture of your print and send it in (as a jpeg or mail it as a print), and Global Forest will post it in the GF Gallery along with your name and we will send you a GF sticker for your collection.
