GRUESOME!!
Over half of your poop is actually bacteria, did you know that?

Trees are Water Pumps

Slip a plastic bag over the end of a tree branch that has leaves on it and seal the end of the plastic with some strong tape.

Make sure you pick a tree that is not exposed to full sunlight, or better still wait for a cloudy day.

Slip an identical plastic bag over a bare branch (one without any leaves).

Make sure you tie or tape the open end of both bags tightly closed.

After 3 hours, check the bags before carefully removing them from the branches. The bag on the leafy branch should be foggy and the inside of the plastic bag will contain droplets of water.

The water was released through the tree's leaves.

On a warm summer day many litres (gallons) of water may enter the air from just a single large tree.

Imagine how much water a whole forest can produce!

Take pictures of both of your bags when they are on the branches, send them in (as jpegs or mail them as prints), and Global Forest will post them in the GF-Gallery along with your name and we will mail you a GF series sticker for your GF collection.
