Orangutans in trouble

Orangutans in trouble
Orangutans, which live only in Borneo and Sumatra in Indonesia, are in critical danger of extinction. The last 10 years have seen logging and forest fires which have destroyed much of their habitat. Their numbers have fallen by one-third over the last decade, to 20,000, and their population levels continue to drop by 1,000 individuals a year, making this great ape the most endangered of all the great ape species.
