Unusual B.C. fish now extinct, scientists say
A scientific panel has announced Canada's new endangered species list. It now includes 338 different plant and animal species. Pacific coast killer whales and the northern abalone are listed as. The Hadley Lake Stickleback fish species was listed as extinct. The fish, which was found only in Hadley Lake on B.C.'s Lasqueti Island has died out due to the introduction of predatory catfish into its waters.
