Common pesticide linked to Parkinson's
A study has found that a common organic pesticide used by gardeners across Canada causes the classic symptoms of Parkinson’s disease in rats. Rotenone, which is made from the roots of two tropical plants, is contained in many garden products, and is sometimes sold as a white powder, which is used on tomatoes, apples, pears and roses. Parkinson’s disease was once thought to be hereditary.
