Water is awesome because it can be pulled up a tree as tall as 100 metres (330 feet)!
"Fat and Stress"
"Fat and Stress" Dr Elissa Epel, a researcher at the University of
California has demonstrated a link between our personalities and
health. She has shown that how we cope with stress may affect our
body shape. Her research showed that cortisol, a hormone involved
ion the flight or fight response, plays a role in where our bodies
deposit fat. She compared women with extra weight in the middle
(apple shapes) and women with extra weight on the hips (pear
shapes) and showed that apple shaped women secrete higher levels of
cortisol, and respond to stress less well than pear shaped women.
Dr Kim Mulvill of San Francisco's KRON-TV explained, "more stress
leads to more cortisol, and more cortisol leads to more abdominal
fat deposition." OCTOBER 6TH, 2000
