Scientist sees pyramid secrets in the stars

Scientist sees pyramid secrets in the stars
The ancient Egyptians lined up their pyramids to the north because they believed that their pharaohs became stars in the northern sky after they died. The Egyptians used two stars, Kochab and Miza, to find true north. It was only in 2467 BC that the celestial north pole was situated exactly between the two stars Kochab and Mizar. The Egyptians started building the Great Pyramid of Giza about 11 years before 2467 BC, which is why it is slightly off true north orientation.
