Canadians love their wilderness, survey shows
Canadians love their wilderness, survey shows Although most Canadians live in cities, we love
wilderness-related activities. A survey on outdoor-related
activities of Canadians showed that in 1996 we participated in
recreational fishing, wildlife viewing, hunting, camping, boating
and sight seeing. A 1998 study on time use by Canadians showed that
we spent 30 minutes a day on sport and active leisure, 2.2 hours a
day watching TV, 0.4 hours a day reading, and 0.2 hours a day
watching sporting events, movies and other
entertainment. JUNE 20, 2000
