How can I outwit the wily cockroach?

How can I outwit the wily cockroach?
The coackroach is very aware of danger because tiny hairs on its rear end signal changes in the direction of the air flowing around its body. When it feels a puff of air on its bottom, it hurries away quickly. However, if a vacuum cleaner approaches from the rear, the suction of the nozzle blows the hairs on its head. The cockroach then thinks that it is being attacked from the front, and will turn and run straight into the vacuum cleaner’s nozzle.
