FACTOID!!
A hummingbird can beat its wings at 50 beats per second, which is so fast that it looks like a buzzing blur in the air. Hummingbirds are also able to zoom up to a flower at 40 kilometres per hour (24 miles per hour) and stop in an instant.

The attine ants of Central and South America cultivate fungi in underground gardens. The fungi are fed rotting plant matter by the ants, who then eat the fungi. Feeding plant matter to the fungi makes the fungi more nutritious than the original plant matter. Researchers say that the relationship has been going on so long that the ants and fungi have experienced a co-evolution over the past 50 million years. During co-evolution, both species involved influence the evolution of the other. It has also been found that domestication of fungus happened a number of times in the past with different species of attine ants. Different species of these ants cultivate different species of fungus.
