GRUESOME!!
Carnivorous plants - like all plants - can make food from the sun's energy and carbon dioxide in the air and water from the ground. The insects that the carnivorous plants eat are devoured not for food but for the minerals they provide.

Three men, two paddles, one boat and a moose

Three men, two paddles, one boat and a moose
Three Ontario men have been hailed as heroes for saving a moose that had fallen through the ice in the Magpie River, north of Sault Ste Marie. The ice was frozen up to about 25 metres from shore but then thinned. The men grabbed a canoe and paddled through the thin ice to where the moose was stuck and beginning to tire from its efforts to stay afloat. A large crowd watched as the men tied a rope around the moose's neck and led it to open water, where it swam safely to shore.
