Strange life forms

Strange life forms
Did you know that .. extremophiles are primitive forms of bacteria that have developed to live in harsh conditions, like deep below the Earth's surface. Microbiologists now think that extremephiles are our oldest ancestors, who thrived long before oxygen was present in our atmosphere. nanobes are tiny creatures smaller than any known bacterium. They are only 20 to 150 nanometres (billionths of a metre) long and are about the same size as viruses. Nanobes were discovered 4 years ago by Australian scientists digging 3 miles below the seabed. deinococcus radiodurans is a super-strong bacterium that can withstand 3,000 more times radiation than a human being. They are commonly found in cow and elephant dung and were first spotted in the 1950s when they refused to die in food-sterilization tests.
