Newborn clone of almost extinct ox dies

Newborn clone of almost extinct ox dies
The cloned gaur calf, Noah, has died from clostridial enteritis, a dysentery-like illness which is almost always fatal to newborn animals. With the help of biotechnology, an ordinary cow on a farm in Iowa gave birth to Noah. The gaur is an almost extinct breed of wild ox, with a hump-like ridge on its back and with white or yellow stockings on its legs. It is found in India, Indochina and Southeast Asia.
