GRUESOME!!
Baby giant water bugs, like true bugs, have piercing-sucking mouthparts. Water bugs catch small fish, stab them with their beak-like mouthparts and squirt special juices into the fish. These juices change the fish's insides into a soft goo - perfect for 'babies' to slurp up.

Insect pests may have had an impact on the evolution of flower timing. Scientists studying wild sunflowers discovered that the later-flowering plants did better than the early-flowering plants. This was because two insects, the sunflower moth and the sunflower bud moth, hatch early in the flowering season and inflict the most damage then. This suggests that many types of plants time their flowering to avoid pests.
