A beaver's front teeth are bright orange because of their super hard enamel coat. These teeth must be sharp because the beaver uses them to cut down trees. Beaver's teeth never wear out because they never stop growing!

Researchers are starting to get a clearer picture of why the water hyacinth has been such an aggressive invader species in Africa's Lake Victoria. There are three rivers which feed into Lake Victoria and they inject huge amounts of nutrient-rich sediment into the lake. These feed the weed and promote its quick growth.
