Spiders that hunt at night often have a special layer at the back of their big eyes. It acts like a mirror to bounce light back into the eyes. On a dark night, this reflected light makes the spider's eyes seem to glow!

Southern Russia was pummeled with egg-size hailstones for two days, causing dozens of hospitalizations and at least 70,000 hectares of crops to be destroyed. The hail damaged hundreds of homes, wrecked most of the vineyards in the Levokumskiy District, and nearly wiped out the grain harvest.
