Sunscreen, hats urged for pets

Sunscreen, hats urged for pets
Australian pet owners are warned that animals are just as susceptible to diseases caused by the sun as humans are. Pet owners are cautioned to put sunscreen and hats on their pets before allowing them outside, or else keep them inside during the worst of the mid-day heat. Livestock can also be affected by the sun's rays, and too much sun can cause skin cancer, sunburn and eye damage.
