Unique wolves in B.C. rainforest
Unique wolves in B.C. rainforest The wolves living in the central coastal forests
of B.C. have one of the highest population densities in the world
and are of a "unique genetic variety," a study found. These wolves
in the heavily overgrown old growth forest and their main food
source is the deer that also live there. The study's sponsor, Rain
Forest Conservation Society, is worried that logging of the forests
will threaten the habitat and food supply of these unique
wolves. JANUARY 31, 2001
