Unique wolves in B.C. rainforest
The wolves living in the central coastal forests of B.C. have one of the highest population densities in the world and are of a "unique genetic variety," a study found. These wolves in the heavily overgrown old growth forest and their main food source is the deer that also live there. The study's sponsor, Rain Forest Conservation Society, is worried that logging of the forests will threaten the habitat and food supply of these unique wolves.
