FACTOID!!
A ground squirrel usually loses about 80% of its body weight whilst hibernating.

Building a Snowman

When the temperature is close to 0°C (32°F) the snow becomes sticky.

Make a snowball and then roll it along the ground until it is quite large.

This becomes the base for the snowman.

Repeat this process but make the next ball smaller.

This becomes the body of the snowman.

Make one last smaller snowball for the head.

Take 2 old buttons or pieces of coal and use them for the eyes.

Use a carrot for the nose.

Place an old hat or toque (woolen hat) to cover his head.

Take a picture, send it in (as a jpeg or mail it as a print), and Global Forest will post it in the GF-Gallery along with your name and we will mail you a sticker for your GF collection.
