Mommy's calling

Mommy's calling
Baby calves can recognize their mother's voices within 2 days, reports new research from the University of British Columbia. Researchers taped the calls of calves and their mothers and replayed the tapes to the cows and calves separately. The cows became upset when they heard any noise made by a calf, but the calves knew the sound of their mother's moo immediately. This research suggests that calves begin to learn the sound of their mother's voice while in the womb.
