Naked mole rat is a busy little bee The naked mole rat is almost hairless, and lives
in colonies like bees and ants. They are the only mammals that are
eusocial (live in colonies). The queen heads a colony of 20 to 300
naked mole rats and is the only member who has babies. Naked mole
rats dig tunnels with their buck-teeth, and their teeth and jaws
are so strong they can even chew through concrete! The tunnels of
the colonies can be 3 metres deep and spread over hundreds of
metres. One colony in Kenya was bigger than 10 football
