The sea squirt finds a rock to live on and then eats its own brain.
Calling all penguins
Calling all penguins Scientists have known for some years that the
voice box of birds has two branches, each of which can emit a
different sound. However, scientists did not know the purpose of
this ability, until now. Dr Thierry Aubin of the University of
Paris has discovered that Emperor penguins use these two distinct
voices to identify each other. The combination of the voices emits
a ‘beat’ which enables penguins to find their mates and
chicks in their huge colonies. JUNE 29, 2000
