Canada to honour Kyoto commitment

Canada to honour Kyoto commitment
Prime Minister Chretien declared that Canada will live up to its commitments to reduce greenhouse gases. Canada signed the international climate-change treaty in Japan in 1997, and agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 6 per cent below 1990 levels by 2010.
