Fears raised over herbicides
Canadian National Railway has been authorized to spray 9 different types of herbicides along railway lines in northern BC. However, these herbicides could seriously harm stocks of salmon on the Nechako and Skeena Rivers. The United Fishermen and Allied Worker’s Union has suggested that non-chemical alternative to the pesticides are used instead.
