Spiders that hunt at night often have a special layer at the back of their big eyes. It acts like a mirror to bounce light back into the eyes. On a dark night, this reflected light makes the spider's eyes seem to glow!

Scientists in Ontario are testing special pills to protect the slow-growing eastern white pine tree from disease and wildlife. They are planting tablets which contain a fertilizer alongside seedlings and so far the results look good, reports the Ontario government.
