cure for malaria. An antibacterial drug called
‘fosmidomycin’ seems to inhibit a key enzyme in the
parasite. In laboratory tests, mice which had been infected with
malaria and then given the drug all recovered within 8 days. The
researchers are now intending to start clinical trials on
