Although termites are not related to ants, they have a similar way of life. Sometimes they are even called white ants. Their huge nests are made from sand mixed with their own droppings!

Mayflies can be confused by light reflecting on dry asphalt roads,
as it looks like direct sunlight being reflected off the surface of
water. As a result, more and more adult Mayflies are starting to
lay their eggs on roads. The eggs laid on roads cannot survive,
which is depriving the ecosystems of streams where Mayflies usually
