GRUESOME!!
Green tree ants swarm over oak blue caterpillars but they are not attacking them. They are drinking a sweet liquid that the caterpillars give off especially to attract the ants. The ants act like living armor, shielding the caterpillar from wasps that might lay eggs on it. The ants and the caterpillars are partners in nature.

Dolphins vain and smart

Dolphins vain and smart
A new study has found that dolphins can recognize themselves in a mirror. Dolphins are the first non-primate shown to have self awareness. Two bottlenose dolphins at the New York Aquarium used mirrors on the sides of their pool to examine patterns drawn on their backs by animal psychologists. Researchers reported that the dolphins often turned and twisted their bodies to get a good look at the markings.
