There are many different galaxies in outer space and Andromeda is the farthest one that you can see without a telescope. It is about 2 million light years away! When astronauts on the Apollo X travelled in outer space in 1969, they reached the faster speed ever achieved by humans - 39,896 km per hour. At that speed, they could travel around the whole Earth in about an hour!
