Lake water to cool Toronto office towers A newly approved proposal, called the "Deep Lake
Water Cooling Plan" will cool office buildings in downtown Toronto
while cutting down on carbon dioxide emissions and use of high
levels of electricity. Replacing traditional air conditioning,
which is a major cause of pollution, 4§C water will be pumped
in from Lake Ontario to cool office buildings, showing Toronto as
