Squirrels often gather hundreds of white spruce cones and store them in hiding spots so they have food throughout the winter months.
Why build reservoirs when you can use nature's own?
Why build reservoirs when you can use nature's own? Natural water reservoirs, "aquifers", may contain
bacteria which destroys dangerous viruses. If this is the case,
these natural reservoirs could be used to store sewage, storm water
run-off and other contaminated waters which cannot be allowed to
drain into rivers. Eventually, these natural aquifers could help
convert impure waters into drinking water. 29 JANUARY 2000, P. 14
