Did you know that every day there are about 72 million newspapers sold in Canada and the United States? It takes about 100,000 trees to supply these daily newspapers. Let's hope most of those papers are recycled so that we don't have to waste trees and fill up our landfill sites with more garbage.
Balmy Arctic
Balmy Arctic Researchers in the Canadian Arctic have found
fossil evidence that global warming also happened 90 million years
ago. Bones of Champosaurs (crocodile-like dinosaurs) and other
fossils show that millions of years ago the Arctic was warm. This
warmth was probably due to seismic activity, like volcanos
erupting, that released large amounts of carbon dioxide into the
air and warmed the Earth.
