Each year millions of birds are strangled to death because they are caught in plastic six-pack holders. Always collect six-pack holders and cut them into very small pieces and place them in a plastic recycling bin.
Global warming threatens ocean food chain
Global warming threatens ocean food chain An extensive report released by the Geneva-based
World Wildlife Fund along with Seattle's Marine Conservation
Biology Institute, shows that global warming continues to have
negative affects on ocean life, as particularly evidenced by an
increase in the mortality rate of salmon. Experts are concerned
that salmon may disappear altogether, pointing out that this would
have a devastating effect on the ocean's ecosystem. 9 JUNE 1999
