British scientists have found a link between climate conditions in the North Atlantic and the quality of wheat harvests six months later. Changes in air pressure over the Atlantic, known as the North Atlantic Oscillation, are now known to affect Europe's climate. This news should allow farmers to plan ahead for the sowing and harvest of their crops.
