Plants that prey on animals are called carnivorous (meat-eating) plants. There are over 500 different kinds of carnivorous plants. The tallest is 90 centimetres (3 feet) high.

Why, it's not so cold
Ever wondered why it doesn't seem as cold as it's supposed to? The current wind-chill index seems to exaggerate cold temperatures by about 6 C. The wind speed is measured at 10 metres above the ground, where it blows much harder than it does at face level, and the index doesn't take into account sunshine or humidity. As well, it will always seems warmer if you are moving around.
