A taste for tadpole
Researchers say that one of the causes of the drop in amphibian populations around the world could be the introduction of the mosquito fish into new areas in an attempt to combat malaria. Their research has shown that in the lab the fish will eat just as many tadpoles as mosquitoe larvae, and in the wild they actually appear to eat more tadpoles than larvae.
