Poison sumac is a small (<7 m) tree. The fruits and leaves are, as the name infers, poisonous.
staghorn sumacRhus typhina L.
Staghorn sumac has stout woolly branches, and during the winter they resemble the velvety antlers of a deer. In the autumn the leaves turn a spectacular shade of red.
