Raptors, or birds of prey, like the eagle, owl and hawk, have large, strong, hooked bills that bite and tear flesh while their feet immobilize the prey.

The plants in the Earth's forests may contain many of the answers to cure our diseases. One recent example is taxol - a compound made from the bark, wood and roots of the Pacific yew tree that is being used to fight both ovarian and breast cancer. We are supporting several studies, which are both investigating medicinal properties of plants and understanding how the First Peoples use indigenous plants.
