GRUESOME!!
Carnivorous plants - like all plants - can make food from the sun's energy and carbon dioxide in the air and water from the ground. The insects that the carnivorous plants eat are devoured not for food but for the minerals they provide.

Lighting For Bugs

Take a white sheet and hang it up in your back garden at night.

Shine a flashlight on the sheet and watch the bugs on your very own movie screen.

Take a picture, send it in (as a jpeg or mail it as a print), and Global Forest will post it in the GF-Gallery along with your name. We will also mail you a GF series sticker for your GF collection.

In order to receive a free GF sticker for participating in this activity you must first be a member of GF Awesome.
