FACTOID!!
Koalas are marsupials, a mammal that carries its young in a pouch. They live in the Eucalyptus forests of Australia and they only eat the new leaves of a few different types of eucalypt trees. Koala's paws are hand-like, strong, and have very sharp claws to help them hold onto tree trunks and branches.

Exploring for Baby Bugs

If you like to watch caterpillars, look for the plants that they eat.

Many caterpillars like to eat cabbage, tomatoes, common milkweed and kale as well as many different types of trees.

Look for insects on the tops and bottoms of leaves.

Take pictures and make notes of what the insects are doing and eating.

Send us your pictures (as jpegs or mail them as prints), and Global Forest will post them in the GF-Gallery along with your name and we will mail you a GF series sticker for your GF collection.
