FACTOID!!
Most butterflies live for only a few days nor weeks. But postman butterflies live for up to 9 months because they feed on pollen as well as nectar. Pollen is rich in nutrients, especially proteins.

Tie Dye Flowers

Take a white carnation and slice the stem into several strips.

Put each strip into water coloured with different food-colouring.

You may have to prop up your flower.

In 2 days the water should have moved up the stem and you will have a coloured flower.

Try this with a stalk of celery - does it work?

Take a picture of your flower and send it in (as a jpeg or mail it as a print), and Global Forest will post it in the GF-Gallery along with your name and we will send you a GF sticker for your collection.
