Over half of your poop is actually bacteria, did you know that?
Kills all known germs
Kills all known germs Researchers investigating the nesting habits of
birds have found that birds use a number of interesting methods to
control parasites and ensure the health of their offspring. Some
birds include specific types of greenery in their nests, which
scientists had previously believed were used to provide shade and
humidity or to attract mates. However, it has been found that these
specific plants help to control parasites and disease. Some owls
bring live snakes to their nests to eat pests. Birds have also been
observed to groom themselves using insects which secrete
antibiotics that can help the birds to fight infections. It is
thought that humans could benefit by observing which plants and
insects the birds use, and then investigating whether they have any
properties which could fight diseases in humans. JANUARY 22, 2000, P. 36-39
