Dinosaur embryo fossil twice as old as other finds
Dinosaur embryo fossil twice as old as other finds The fossilized embryo of a meat-eating dinosaur
has been found at Lourinha, in central Portugal. Archaeologists
believe it to be about 140 million years old, twice as old as any
previously known fossil of this type. It is also the first fossil
embryo to have been discovered from the Jurassic rather than the
Cretaceous period.
