in Indonesia, are in critical danger of extinction. The last 10
years have seen logging and forest fires which have destroyed much
of their habitat. Their numbers have fallen by one-third over the
last decade, to 20,000, and their population levels continue to
drop by 1,000 individuals a year, making this great ape the most
