Penguin chicks starve in wake of oil spill

Penguin chicks starve in wake of oil spill
An oil spill has threatened the largest colony of the endangered Jackass penguin. Adult penguins have been removed from Dassen Island which is situated off the west coast of South Africa in order to protect them from the oil pollution. However, the removal of the adults means that their chicks have now begun to die from starvation. Jackass pengiuns are found only off the coast of southern Africa.
