ragworms, which are used as fishing bait, to breed at any time of
year. Ragworms usually only breed once and then die. This can
create a problem if worms are ready to breed at different times.
Developing the ability to breed the worms at any time means that
the worms can now be farmed. This will protect the ecosystem of
beaches, which is often damaged during the hunt for wild
