Did you know that there are a group of frogs in South America known as 'poison-dart frogs'? There are different types of frogs within the group but most of them are brightly coloured and have black spots. They are dangerous to touch because they have poison on their skin. Native people in the area used to rub the poison onto their arrows before hunting.

Lands for Life: Give trees a chance The Lands for Life report focuses on trees - how
many of them should remain standing and how many should be tagged
for forestry cuts. The Ontario government will soon be determining
which of the recommendations of the Lands for Life report it will
adopt as policy. The report's main premise is that no one should
have exclusive rights to public lands. Debate surrounds
recommendations about how much of Ontario's remaining wildernesses
should be set aside for conservation. The Lands for Life report
suggests setting aside 8.2 per cent of Crown lands for
conservation. Conservation groups want to greatly increase this
amount, while the logging industry is quite happy with the report's
recommendations since the amount to be preserved is not as large as
they had expected. Conservation groups are concerned that the
Ontario government should increase the amount of Crown land to be
conserved, since once the wilderness is gone they cannot get it
