Humans destroying panda habitat
Humans destroying panda habitat A near doubling of the human population living in
the Wolong Nature Preserve is destroying the forest pandas need to
live and breed. The forest is actually disappearing faster than
before the park was created. People living in the park cut wood
from the forest to cook and heat their homes with. The forest is
being cut down at a rate of 95 hectares per year. APRIL 6, 2001
