Humans destroying panda habitat
A near doubling of the human population living in the Wolong Nature Preserve is destroying the forest pandas need to live and breed. The forest is actually disappearing faster than before the park was created. People living in the park cut wood from the forest to cook and heat their homes with. The forest is being cut down at a rate of 95 hectares per year.
