FACTOID!!
The acorn woodpecker is the only bird that can eat chestnuts and acorns. These birds hide the seeds in the cracks of tree bark. Squirrels will raid the bird's hiding spots and in turn hide the seeds on the ground. Most of the seeds are eventually eaten but a few grow into large chestnut and oak trees.

Bats are prime suspects in Malaysian epidemic
Bats may be the source of the deadly disease ‘encephalitis’ which recently spread through Malaysia, killing 100 people. In some populations of bats, up to 25 per cent seem to have been exposed to the virus. However, it is still not yet clear whether or not the bats are the reservoir of the disease.
